A Woman’s Journey

She decided she’d had enough and began marching.

She marched out of her home, away from those she knew. As she sojourned, she discovered she was not the only woman to undertake this journey. Many walked with her, men gradually joining in as the legion of women grew. Hordes sneered at them. She should go back. Nothing would come of her path, she doubted, so why keep going? 

They screamed at her to keep this piece of clothing on then to take another off. They howled at the art she created. She and the others kept marching, though, into the future.
