“Act your age and party, for once.” That’s what Luke said, and I was convinced.
Inside, I saw grown men in diapers cuddling stuffed animals. Professionals—people who would rather play with blocks—were wetting themselves. And I didn’t blame them. Bluey beats bankruptcy proceedings.
But it wasn’t my thing. Just don’t have much to regress to. So I fired up Luke’s grill. Passed out burgers. Handed someone a beer and nudged, “Don’t tell your mother.” Called everyone “chief,” like how Dad would when he was around.
That’s probably the appeal, wishing you had more time for things you didn’t appreciate.
Well done. Original and fun.
Great stuff. I like the juxtaposition here; the narrator’s casual attitude while simply handing out beers and burgers in the midst of all the regression, then being able to make his own analysis at the end.
I give it 6 pampers pull-ups. Good couple of twists, thoughtful commentary, and overall wholesome. Entertaining to say the least.
