“Dana Angela Nolan, get your butt down here now,” I holler so hard my voice cracks.
Shaking with fury, I step around the overturned box of Lego bricks spilled all over the entry hall. I told her to pick these up before she went upstairs. Sometimes she makes me so mad I could just kill her.
I hear her little feet run to the stairs. I hear a trip, then a slip, a small cry, a hard tumble, a final thud. In an instant, my fury turns to horror.
Her lifeless five-year-old body lies broken at the foot of the stairs.
Wow, that is quite a dark and sad turn. Great descriptions and nice job writing from the parent’s POV.
Sad and great write.
Thanks Alex!
Did not expect that! Nicely done.
Thank you, Sharon.
Very well done. True horror.
Truly a horror story, a parent’s nightmare. So well written. I could feel the mother’s heart drop to the pit of her stomach.
