The best thing about the dead girls was that they kept their opinions to themselves. They didn’t make those insulting scrunched-up faces, or tell him that he really didn’t have to do this, or claim that they had two small children or a sick old grandmother who urgently needed them back home. They didn’t make those annoying little whining noises deep in the throat or suddenly scream, “No!” They didn’t cry. They didn’t try to kick and scratch, or, like that last one, gouge his eyes. The dead girls were well-behaved, which is to say they had no behavior at all.
A dark delight! Well done!
