Hunted Hunters

June 15, 2025 4 Comments

By Andrea Tillmanns

Day by day, the wolves let me get closer, yet I will never be one of them.

I follow them at a respectful distance when they hunt, waiting patiently. This time it is a sheep that no herding dog is protecting. They chase it, circle it until they finally kill it. As they begin to eat, I sneak closer in pursuit of my own prey.

At last, I am upon them; the way is now clear for me. I lean on the ground, aim, and shoot, one photo after another of the faces of the exhausted wolf pack, red with blood.

Nicely executed twist at the end. Didn’t see it coming.

Perfect flash. Good images and clever ending that fit perfectly but wasn’t expected,
