TICK—the clock ticks, and a moment slips into the void before the clock has chance to tock. The moment is a greedy little creature, devouring time in a realm rarely mentioned or understood.
Sometimes you catch sight of one from the corner of your eye and put it down to an over-active imagination. But every so often a moment is caught head on, making it necessary for that creature to unleash its self-protecting powers.
Its powers have the ability to erase your short-term memory, leaving you wondering what you were just about to do and why you can’t remember—TOCK.
Excellently formed story! I liked this.
Thank you for your comments – it came to me in a flash!
I LOVE this story, CR! Good job.
Thank you.
cool concept for a story!
You’re very kind, thank you.
Good job. Like splitting an atom.
It’s like a 101-word moment. It takes all of a second to read, and in that second, you may crash, hyperventilate, laugh, or simply move on to the tock.
Great read!
I was going to comment on this excellent story before, but got caught in between the TICK and the TOCK. I have only now found myself. Good story!!
