Loyalty Reloaded

February 10, 2026 21 Comments

By Giulietta Nardone

The ghost wrapped his arms around Theodora and whispered, “I love you.”

It had been a month since her husband died in a tragic accident while hiking on their anniversary. Friends thought he had fallen off an overlook trying to take a selfie.

Theodora knew otherwise.

She had given him a forceful shove as he admired the sunset. “Good riddance,” she said, as her womanizing cad of a husband tumbled into the canyon.

But he returned from the afterlife, an adoring ghost.

“I can’t get enough of this murderous side of you,” he said, cuddling next to her in their bed.

Writing the Five Senses with Jo Gatford
October 10 & 11

If you can describe a room in detail and the reader still isn’t standing in it, this workshop is for you. Detail only helps when it’s doing a job, and most of us were taught to add sensory detail without being shown what to make it do.

Join award-winning author Jo Gatford for a full day on smell, taste, and touch, learning to anchor them to memory, routine, place, and character.

In just two days, you’ll write a taste that has no name, use a smell to carry information you never have to explain, and build character through touch.
