
”Did you know there’s a low tide and a high tide every morning and every afternoon?” she asked.
“No,” he said, lying on his side next to her in the sand.
“Well, there is. Every six hours and twelve minutes, the tide changes.”
“Really?”
He couldn’t take his eyes off her. All of her.
“Yep,” she said, pretending not to notice. “As the moon waxes and wanes, the tide rises and falls. It all works on the magnetic pull of the moon.”
“Magnetic pull, huh?”
“Yep.”
He got up on his knees, leaned over and kissed her hard. He couldn’t resist.
