No one notices I’m here.

I dust shelves, cook meals, and play with cats. At least they pay attention to me.

I offer hugs to my children, but they walk by without looking up from their phones. Do they not need their mother like I did when I was young?

When I cry, my husband doesn’t comfort me. He can’t even offer a few sympathetic words.

It was one thing when I was alive, but I thought it would be different in death. The book said I’d be surrounded by love.

The authors of that book didn’t know about necromancers, though.
