Their relationship started innocently: friends who talked mostly online.
He was in an abusive relationship, and she was unhappy in hers. They were a support for each other in all ways.
For six months, they met whenever they could.
Lunch breaks for coffee, dinner, overnight trysts. Every time she said they couldn’t work, and he’d vow to keep away. Yet they could never stay silent or apart.
Soon they’d meet again; torrid as a desert sun, bittersweet like fine wine—until their relationship became too complicated to remain hidden.
Outside in the rain, they kissed goodbye, one last time, as lovers.
Guess the complications are too much to reveal in a 100wd piece, but I’m left frustrated that they chose to separate.
You hooked me anyway. I’ll give you that. But I’m left unsatisfied. Maybe that’s good. Life isn’t satisfying. Lol
I feel the same as Laura. Need more. Good story though.
Agree with the remarks of Laura and Jo. These two had so much going for them initially–then for some reason(s) it all fell flat and they parted. Seems like a lot of left out. Fill that in and you’ll have a very good longer story.
