Hiding from the hairy monster, little Lucy crouches behind the gazebo. Only twenty-two steps to the back door. Freedom! But the beast is fast. And hungry for the chase.
Lucy scampers along the fence toward the house. This time, she makes it to the old oak. But the crackling leaves betray her, forcing Lucy back behind the gazebo.
The beast’s heavy breathing draws closer. Lucy’s last attempt ends with a thud. The creature overtakes her and pins her to the grass. Sloppy kisses overwhelm her defenses. Giggling in defeat, Lucy turns the dog over and buries her face in his fur.
How great to read a story and have such a smile. Well done.
That title is fabulous! I love the story, and the ending. Dog kisses are the best.
I loved this chase! And the giggles at the end were the cutest.
Such a sweet story.
