Ronald pressed on through the cold air, toward the interview at the Royal Ballet School.
He walked between files of sarcastic deer, oblivious to their antler-tingling sneers.
“Sheer comedy!” and “A disgrace to our royal patronage!” clamoured many a buck and doe.
The noise grew as he approached his destination at Richmond Park’s White Lodge. Perhaps the bleating was because it’s feeding time? He wished he could speak deer.
As he entered the reception area, human laughter erupted. It sounded…like those deer.
The receptionist could barely contain himself. “Why?”
“I’m trying to blend in!” Ronald cried, promptly covering his leotard.
One of us missed the mark!
Hi b. What do you mean? It’s an enigmatic reply! Hope I liked it tho!
