Them Bones

October 3, 2022 3 Comments

By Phil Temples

Julia Priestly and her family embarked upon their annual camping trip—a visit to Dinosaur Provincial Park near Calgary. But after three days, Julia was beginning to fear that their trip would be a colossal failure. Neither she nor her kids had spotted anything resembling a dinosaur fossil. However, on their final night at the park, she got up in the middle of the night to relieve herself behind a nearby boulder and tripped over what appeared to be a gigantic, partially exposed leg bone from a large dinosaur. The fossil escaped damage, but Julia suffered a compound fracture of her tibia.
