I know it’s stupid to hope they didn’t give your phone number away. There are only so many 7-digit codes out there, and it’s not like you’ll need to make phone calls again. It’ll be another person with our area code (maybe even our old house) who will get this voice message.
So if that someone else gets this, ignore me. Block my number, and forget this interaction happened.
But if you can hear me, Davie, if phone calls make it to heaven…

Love your story. Interesting thought to leave a voice message, have never done that. But I’ve called my late sister’s number many times just to hear her voice say “leave a message at the beep”. Bittersweet.
