I spent the first half of my life gathering stories. Being lost on a Boy Scout hike in the Adirondack Mountains for two long days. Sinking a basket at the buzzer for Purdue to upset Iowa. Pulling off a total surprise thirtieth birthday party for my wife. Losing a major case when our star witness clammed up.
I spend the second half of my life telling these stories, often with embellishments. Lost on the hike for four days and hearing wolves. They are well received.
But soon I will be running out of stories. What will I have to say then?
Time to start a new chapter with adventures, I’d say.
I love everything about this story, but what I love the most is how a reader wants to answer the question posed at the end.
Love this!!
Wry and insightful.
