Where All Things End

September 29, 2026 Leave a Comment

By Willow M.

Ping. My phone lights up on the counter. I ignore it. I can’t talk to Victoria again.

I hear police sirens outside and know they’ve caught Victoria. I know I should call someone to bail her out, call in some favors to clean up this mess. But I’m suddenly just too tired. Victoria is guilty; we all are. I’m tired of fighting fate.

Ping. I reach for the end table but not for my phone. My hands shake as I pour the pills into my hand. I take a deep breath, steel myself, and swallow. It’s time for this to end.
