A Day in the Life of Sisyphus, From the Perspective of a Horny Boulder

May 10, 2025 3 Comments

By Konstantinos Pavlopoulos

Oh mighty King, it’s an honor to be pushed, Oh! To be shoved and forced up this hill by my Master!

Your sweaty hands caressing my exterior, drenching me in your oils, making my soul shiver in submission. For you I am hard as, well, a rock.

Your chest, skin invisible behind thick fur, how strongly it propels me, thrusting me and pounding me, until I can be pounded no more. I cannot think of a life better spent than at your mercy!

Perhaps one day, this unending foreplay, this perpetual edging, will cease and we can reach the apex together.

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.
