“What’s on television tonight, honey?”
“There’s a game—and a movie.”
“What’s the movie?”
“Well, let’s see—a petulant, semi-retired vampire meets a spunky hairdresser.”
“It’s a love story?”
“I guess!”
“The movie then.”
“Funny, I was interested in the game. Tell you what, let’s flip a coin for it.”
“Okay. ‘Tails’, it’s the movie.”
“It’s ‘heads’.” She looks at him with her large brown eyes: “Best two out of three?”
Later.
“Best out of forty-five…”
By now it’s too late to watch anything. Brad leaves and returns with a box.
“What’s in the back of the truck, honey?”
“Another television.”
That is a delightful love story. Such self-sacrificing lovers!
I’m stuck on wanting to know more about the petulant semi-retired vampire and the spunky hairdresser….
…as for Brad and his ball-and-chain…what can one say about the ennui of the bourgeoisie?
Something tells me I am making two out of what is really one……
That delightful love story is divorce country…
I enjoyed this story thoroughly. Well written, and interesting!
a thoroughly enjoyable take on love 🙂
Smiling over this one. Thanks.
Now that’s a solution – he figured it out!
First a second TV, then a second bed – I’m with Bruce on this one! 🙂
Would love to see a follow-up to the movie. 🙂
This was fun – good one.
Got a chuckle or two out of this one. Good job!
