“Last call for Wardair Flight 410 to London Gatwick!”
We hurried the kids along to the departure gate, anxious to be on our way…
The washer had been blocked; I kept stopping to clear the windscreen with handfuls of snow. When the light left the
sky, our grimy headlights made things worse.
“We’ve been skiing,” I’d told Dad cheerfully.
“Don’t change your plans,” he’d said, after giving us the worst possible news. “Make the most of your time in Canada.”
Another huge logging truck deluged us with slush as I tried to banish all distractions and focus on the road ahead.
Maybe I’m just dense, James, but, even though it is well written, I totally do not get what this one is about!
