You need not worry. I am young and strong, as vibrant as the flowers in your perfect garden. I realize she is your child, but to me she is so much more.
I cannot say what the future holds—I may work with my hands or I may work with my head. I enjoy many things, just as you enjoy sitting under this shaded oak, sipping tea and reading Faulkner, Frost, and Crane.
If only you would take a moment to see how much you and I have in common—like the time your wife’s father turned his back on you.
Reminds me of a song Dolly Parton does called “She’s In Love With The Boy.”
Fun song, well crafted read.
Oops, Trisha Yearwood does the song.
