History is the process of taking the mass of evidence, some dull, some exciting, some useful, some worthless, and documenting what really did happen.
Unfortunately, this history is being recorded by a liar. A liar covers up and cheats. A lie grows out of fear, or anxiety, desire for gain, or revenge, fun, momentary glory, fame, fortune, or simply a desire to create the illusion of being important. Whatever the reason for lying, the end product is calculated gain. Like a drug addict he must have a shot in the arm and lie. In his mind, he wins but we lose.
A valid comment on a very human characteristic. Liked it!
A wise man once wrote, history is the pack of lies assembled by the winner.
Interesting and powerfully written. Liar is really only telling his or her story. It’s the power brokers who determine what ‘history’ is propaganda worthy.
Great piece. The biggest liar usually gets the biggest presidential library.
