Another weekend in pain, despite the drugs and the bland food diet. Her diverticulitis has flared up. The beast, as she calls it, is not going to rule her life. It will not mess with her mind. Fatigue, yes. Even a certain amount of struggle with the restrictions placed on her, but no succumbing to depression. If only she could find the right combination, figure out what caused this attack.
She twists her rich red hair into a braid, applies her mascara. Gazing at her face, she applies blusher to her pale cheeks. Once again, she gets ready for the battle.
