I’m not making excuses, but when I left The Haunted Poacher I was so drunk I could barely walk. I reached in my pocket for my car keys. Huh. There was a whisky glass in there.
I looked up, around, and across the street. Where was my freaking car? It was gone. Bollocks, bollocks, bollocks. Someone stole my car! I couldn’t report it from there. Why would a roaring drunk need a car? They’d just laugh.
No, I’d wait till I got home to phone it in. Yes, good plan. I staggered home.
My car was there. In the freaking drive!
ThIs was a fun quick read! The ending made me laugh 🙂
Dear Hayley, thanks so much for your comments. I’m really happy you thought it was funny.
I always try for funny. For this one I really had to dig deep in my memory cos it is many years
since I was drunk. Have a beautiful day.
Oh, those nights. They were the best of times and the worst of times. Very well done!
Thanks so much for your comments, Sue. Really appreciated them. Seasons greetings.
Liked it! One of those humorous stories where the reader is left wondering: “Now how the heck did that happen!”
Many thanks for taking the time to comment. I’m really happy you liked it. Seasons greetings.
