Sitting in a yellow paint flaked taco shop, on Tuesday night, I saw Jesus. He stood at the counter wearing only white corduroy pants, and little moon-shaped eyeglasses.
“Girls, what can I get for you?” he said to the two high-heeled disciples behind him.
“I’m not hungry,” said one. The other giggled.
His bare upper body shrugged.
“A bean and cheese burrito, and water. Please.”
The cashier pointed to Jesus’ chest, his bare feet, then to the sign.
“Boss’s policy.” He smirked. His silver canine catching the light.
Jesus laughed and walked out the door.
He had to save our souls.
