‘The Yellow Wallpaper’ is the story that got me into strange fiction.  It can be a piece of Gothic Horror, a trip into schizophrenia, or the more traditional interpretation of the medical mistreatment of women.  The other works included in this compilation by Charlotte Perkins Gilman give insight into the early years of feminism and the changing of attitudes towards gender.
