“This next one’s a par three.”
Ray placed his ball on the turf and drew out a four-iron.
The shot bounced onto the green and rolled toward the pin.
“Nice!” admired Cody.
Ray chuckled. “I smell a birdie coming.”
As they ambled down the fairway, Ray chuckled again. “My wife wanted me to go along to her mother’s today. I told her I had a finance committee meeting.”
“I’ll get the flag out…hey Ray! Here’s your ball! You got a hole in one! Wait till we tell the guys! You’ll get your name in the paper!”
“Noooo!!”
Cool ending! Made me laugh. Well done.

Thanks. It’s based on a joke I read about a priest who skips Mass to go golfing, and God punishes him with a hole in one.
Good one.
Cute, and well told.
Goofy! I just can’t appreciate a story around a game of golf. Sorry. Sounds a bit too “Presidential” to me.
Fun story. Good mix of dialogue and action. Nice job incorporating quite a bit into 101 words!
