There are stamp collectors and coin collectors, feather hoarders and bottle cap connoisseurs.
Then, there is Vivi.
Vivi is one of the most avid button magpies I’ve ever known. She’s got every colour under the sun. Pink, purple, green, even fancy ones like Alizarin Crimson and Flavescent Rose.
She stores her buttons in drawers, closets, and cabinets. Some are hung up on the walls, framed in gold and silver. Others dangle from the ceiling on sparkly ribbons.
The passion gleams in her big, bright eyes. They’re a deep aquamarine, with four holes each, where they’ve been sewn in with black thread.
Loved the visual language of this story, and the kick at the end.
