“Where’re my car keys?” I’d searched my whole apartment.
“Where you left them,” roommate Teddy answered from the couch.
“Well, I need ’em in my hands,” I said.
“Wherever they are,” Teddy offered, “they’re exactly where they need to be.”
Looking at him in his Bob Marley t-shirt annoyed me.
“Look, I don’t have time for your pothead philosophies. You gonna help me find ’em?”
“There’s an order to things. We’re not to judge it, just accept it.”
“You’re an idiot.”
“Says the keyless man.”
“Who owns a car.”
“Without keys.”
I see a glimmer under Teddy’s annoying ass.
My keys!
Loved it.
Witty exchange. Good story.
Very nice!
Love the dialogue and the addition of the Bob Marley t shirt. I’ve definitely lived with roommates like that!
I really loved it.
I had smiles on my face the whole time I was reading the story.
