Cats and Politics

By Smila W. Planete

Meow.

“Good morning, Miss Luna!”

Meow.

“I bet you’re hungry? Here you go. Some yummy kibbles and bits for Luna Petunia.”

Meow.

“You’re welcome.”

Meow.

“I know. It’s chilly in here. I need to turn the thermostat up.”

Meow, meow.

“You want to sit with me? Absolutely. Jump up.”

Meow. Meeeeeeeeeow.

“Come again?”

Meow, meow. Meeeeeeeeeow.

“I totally agree. The debate was a mess.”

Meooow. Mew. Meeeeoow.

“Especially him! Did you see? He started foaming at the mouth! I felt sorry for the moderator. What did you think of his rebuttal?”

Meow, meoooooow.

Laughing. “I couldn’t have said it better myself!”

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.

Now I feel better knowing that I’m not the only who has full on conversations with their pets. Great story.
