Codependent Roller Coaster

March 23, 2026 2 Comments

By Daniela Camden

The lights are dim in the boarding room. There’s someone you don’t know, yet you choose to trust anyway. You offer your vitality. They take your money and give you the ticket. This was your decision.

You brought this on yourself.

“This is your last chance to leave the coaster. Do so if you feel uncomfortable. The track is old and rickety, and it falls apart before it ends.”

You know this is wrong, but you stay. You think it needs you.

“Keep hands, arms, and legs inside at all times. Rest your eyes now. You can’t get off the ride.”

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.

Perfect comparison. Never too late to get off the ride before it starts up again.

Life falls apart before the end. But we can’t get off.
