The idea came in a flash. Comedy on one hand, tragedy on the other. Laughing mask, frowning mask. A letter on each finger. Jim had an extra one on each hand with two thumbs on the right. Perfect!
Nan sniffed. ‘You went to the theatre once. Fell asleep and dribbled on my cardigan.’
Jim adored his tattoos. They got him in the paper. Local celebrity. Several lasses followed him around but he only liked stunning, spikey haired Desireé.
‘Is she a potato?’
Jim glared at Nan. Desireé said tattoos were common. And she was visibly freaked out by his extra fingers.
