When I.C.E.’s pickup trucks skid to a stop amongst the undocumented, Raminez is already threading his body through the tear.
Raminez has incorporated the alley beside the Home Depot, the staging lot behind the store, and the gash in the fence into an escape route.
Sweat beads on Raminez’s brow and dampens his arm pits, expressing his churn to drive his aching legs.
He lives in mortal fear for his family’s safety and well-being. He’s done so these fifteen years past.
Raminez seeks unbridled expression of his Natural rights.
Jeffrey this is a great topic to cover at this time. Your writing skills show a great deal of promise. This story leaves each paragraph as a loose end. You could try to rework and reword the paragraphs for the 101 word limit but it might miss the target you’re aiming to hit in the telling of this tale. Perhaps the telling of this story would be better suited for a short story.
