Sophie, an iris in a garden in Scotland asked: “Oh kind stranger! Could you tell what colour am I?”
“Oh miss, I haven’t seen such a polarising shade before in my life, you’re the deepest of red. Crimson, my lady!” The stranger replied like a bard, to which Sophie blushed to an even deeper, almost inconceivable colour.
You see, she was a young flower and to her colour was the most important commodity in the world. And our kind stranger apparently wasn’t kind at all, because he was a mischievous bee who could only conceive the world in shades of blue.
