Shannon was done with her meal, done a long time ago, but she didn’t leave the restaurant. She looked again at the table across the room. The man in the white suit still sat there, sobbing uncontrollably, occasionally eating one of the chicken nuggets in front of him. The table held a ridiculous amount of the chicken bits – they nearly overflowed at the edges. There were no sauce containers, no drinks, nothing else besides the mountainous pile of processed and breaded chunks of meat. She finally got up and slowly started heading to the man’s table. She simply had to know.
