Jim decided that sunny California was the place to be, so he scraped together enough money for the bus fare.
With the ugly divorce still haunting him, he arrived in the big city for the holidays. Chuckling dryly, Jim knew he didn’t even have enough money for a cheap tent. It was unusually cold and he pulled out a bottle of liquor.
Opening the whiskey bottle, Jim decided to rest up for a bit, settling against a rusty, old tractor wheel.
Early the next morning a crowd gathered around Jim. Police pushed everyone aside to make a path for the coroner.
The story of a sad life told in a very few words. I liked it.
