My letter’s the lead one on page seven this week. What idiot steals a signpost at such a busy junction? And why? Now cars orbit the block as if on a carousel. Drivers scratch their heads and cut across lanes. Skidding tires scar the road’s surface. Screeches and horns taunt passersby. The police must stop these vandals. We are too soft these days. Triple their fines. Shame them online. Punish their parents, too.
The pole leans heavily in my bedroom. It smells of moss and rust. Now I must stoop to enter, but I love to see my name in print.
Great one. Easy to identify with.
Thanks for your comment Ed.
Ha ha! Nicely done!
Thanks for your comment Kerri.
Well done, Paul! Congratulations!
Thank you.
At least the last name on the sign was not “stop.”
Now, that would be a problem.
I find it very pleasant and satisfying. While I am not a fan of micro fiction, this one will make me re-read it .
