In a moment of boredom, Micah began to tinker with the digits of Pi, just for fun, parsing the numbers for any repetitions or patterns never noticed before.
One day, she noticed a long stretch of repeating numbers, 453 ones and zeroes, a sequence that repeated 354 times. She had finally found what she was looking for.
Was it binary code?
And, if so, what could it mean?
She copied the sequence and pasted it into an online binary translator. When the message flashed across the screen, she pounded the escape key.
Too late.
“Initiating self-destruct sequence. Thanks for playing.”
Surprised how it is published. I don’t understand.
I thought this was a clever idea. Since Pi is universal, perhaps it can be the destruction of the entire human race. Also, since letters are hexi-decimal…
I pick… Still thought it was clever.
Really clever! Definitely made me sit up in my chair at the end.
Clever story. I really enjoyed it.
haha, oops!
