The last day before his long journey into exile, king Dimaratos walked among his people holding a sack. He walked in the sunlight that covered the harsh ground. He felt the blazing rocks that were ready to transform into volcanoes. He wandered near the sea and watched as nature’s anger attacked the coast with its full power.
As the sun was setting, the king waited. Readied for exile Dimaratos wore his crown and held his sack open above the town. He stood for hours until the sun, the clouds, the ground, the water, and even the people crawled into it.
I really like the mythical character of this tale, the allegorical, the anthropomorphic, and the powerful resignation of king Dimaratos.
My thoughts exactly! Loved the primal symbols–
Beautiful story.
Refreshing story with a powerful message – thanks.
Wow! Unique idea. The king is exiled–but turns the tables on his adversaries by taking them all with him. This is a winner!
I would like to thank you all for reading and commenting the story. And yes, king Dimaratos proves himself a winner since bis name remains immortal through literature!
