Dear Writer’s Block:
It’s not you, it’s me…
I’m ready to settle down, ready to commit. You still want me to dance the dance…wanting to have written rather than to write.
Oh, it’s been fun…dabbling in lyrics and poems, drinking a little, laying down a few words, talking about all my great ideas.
Now it’s time to make my mark. Yes, it’s risky and maybe a bit pretentious, too. No, I’m not a kid anymore, and that’s just it. How old will I be when I’m sixty if I don’t do it?”
So, this is goodbye. You’ve been written off.
Lovely story – I really liked the tone. I think we’ve all been there before!
What a great take on getting dumped! Love it. 🙂
Awesome! Been there … no wait, still there. 🙁 Thanks for the push! 🙂
Adorable! I don’t know if that’s acceptable, but that’s what came up for me. A great “Dear Jean/Jeanne” letter for The Block..I love it.
I really like this, what a great letter! 🙂
