With hands twisted around the rope and hair falling like waves against flushed cheeks, she knew that this was only the beginning. She paused a moment to look down from where she came before making a vow. She would no longer look back wondering what was left behind. She would no longer allow a wall of uncertainty to block her view of what was ahead. As her hands gripped the sandstone above, she felt a tinge of pain in her left arm.
