Impossible hazel eyes. That was the first thing I noticed about Travis. Eyes that sparkled with joy, and then broke my heart without a second thought.
Travis did break my heart, but that’s not important. After all, when you remember a story you love, you rarely think about the ending. You remember him sitting on your bed as you explored the calluses on his fingers. Or the song you thought he wrote just for you. The song he played for you, just before kissing you for the first time.
No, the ending doesn’t matter, because you never wanted it to end.
Fiction tells a truth, once again. Good story.
A near perfect little love story.
