You asked when things changed for me. It was the launch presentation. That video. Remember? SN25 rolled with singular precision through empty aisles.
That should have been THE defining moment of my career. A hayseed like me, one moment tinkering with third-hand machines, the next unveiling the future for ‘The World’s Retailer.’
But I heard it then, in one pseudo-innocuous line:
“Via hundreds of sensors, our warehousing robots avoid all obstacles, including hu—”
I can’t even finish it! But, we’ve created ‘The Future.’
An ‘Efficient Future.’
A ‘Convenient Future.’
A Future where WE have become ‘obstacles.’
setting up humans as obstacles. Great job!
Thank you for the feedback Smila!
Great punch line. Hey, folks, this could maybe really happen! We gotta warn inventors to make sure all robotic sensors do the job they’re supposed to do. Good story, Phil.
Thanks for the feedback Bobby! Maybe not fiction for long? 🙂
Very imaginative and very clever.
Thanks for the feedback Lynn! I appreciate it very much.
