Martin’s office phone rang for the fifteenth time that morning with the same prompt from various callers: “Slomo Polecratz, please.”
The irritating calls continued from both men and women. Who was this ‘Slomo Polecratz’?
Martin was aggravated and skipped out early for lunch… He returned to more of the same.
Martin was a small cog in the government, but a conduit to the public. This officious Assistant to the Assistant of Freedom of Information Requests was now beyond disturbed.
Just before five, Martin’s last call came in:
“This is Slomo Polecratz. Any calls for me?”
Familiar laughter flooded Martin’s telephone earpiece.
This is ingeniously hilarious.
Thanks for the feedback
Loved this….
Nice. I feel like I can see this guy.
Seriously? This is the oldest prank in Telephony history …
And I thought I was be being original, sorry about that…… but I never heard of it before. My sheltered existence, I guess. Thanks for your comment, I will run these things by someone next time to make sure it is original.
