Frank moves through halls, walls straining to listen. “You did it,” he whispers. “I know you did.”
Liam shakes his head. “Did what?” His voice frays to a thin thread. “What exactly did I do?”
Frank circles, sparks of fear shooting from his grin.
Liam trembles. That alone is enough. Accusations ricochet, twisting half-truths and fantasies into guilt, binding him tight. He stumbles, a shadow sentenced to endless confusion and fear.
Frank lingers; he looks around and into an imaginary mirror. Clear victory, an easy one. The world is becoming his fiefdom. There’s momentum, clearly. Another hunt, for another serf, begins.
The fear caused by this bully is palpable. Awfully well done. 🙂
I have seen such domineering characters .
I suspect we’ve all known a Frank at some point!
