Trust me, it’s no fun being a ghost. It’s noisy as hell here in the ghostly realm, what with the constant hootin’ and wailin’ and, of course, caterwaulin’.
‘Rest in Peace’? Not bloody likely.
And what do we see up above us, day in and day out? Yep, the golden streets of Heaven, with all the holier-than-thou saints and angels peeking over the edge, gloating. Really, it’s humiliating.
No wonder we like to escape into the living world every now and then. Sorry if we creep you out, but c’mon; no need for an exorcism or anything.
Ghosts are people too.
A different slant on the Afterlife, and ghosts. You have a biting sense of humor, Scott. Excellent story.
Thanks, Bobby. Glad you enjoyed all the hooting’ and wailing’.
A nice exercise: try writing from an unusual point of view. Well done! Thank you.
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it.
Ha ha. Poor ghosts. Nice piece, Scott.
Poor ghosts indeed!
