God Bless

God bless

By Firdaus Parvez

I have a cold.

Don’t know how I caught it. That’s not the point. The point is, that I have a cold!

Right now, I’m watching all the King’s men, including the Knights, scurrying around preparing soup for me. Several cauldrons are steaming with wild fowl soup. It smells ‘fowl’!

Did I mention I’m a dragonโ€”a huge, magnificent, fire-spitting dragon. I can torch an entire village with one puff.

I’m trying to hold back a sneeze for quite awhile.

Aaaachhoooo!

Uh-oh!

Do you know what’s worse than being torched to death? Getting covered with gooey soot, doesn’t come off easily!

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.
