I need quite a few things from the grocery store: eggs (to throw at Lisa Coleman’s house); toilet paper (also to throw at Lisa Coleman’s house); sugar (to pour in my ex-boyfriend’s gas tank); a pocketknife (to slit his tires); milk (to pour all over those velvety back seats where he fucked Lisa Coleman in the driveway at my Halloween party); tissues (for me); chocolate ice cream (for me); a DVD rental (so I have something to do afterwards);and a lighter (to burn all the pictures and letters and notes my ex-boyfriend ever gave me). Oh, and some granola bars.
I think that should cover it. Great little story, Madeline.
Well that tells a story. Lol.
Love it!
Ok, the granola bars? What a perfect ending to a rant like that!
A short story within a piece of flash. Nice one 🙂
Great concept! I especially love the ending. It is a nice, nonchalant reminder that this really is a grocery list & that life moves on, despite what has happened or the planned revenge.
Everyone can relate. Well done! Good use of 100 words.
That was very good!!! Very clever! Based on this story, I’d read anything you wrote.
NIcely done. Loved the granola bars. A nice injection of the narrator’s going on, I think.
So well done, I really enjoyed it!
