“Walk a block ahead and then turn into the alley,” he said, gun in my ribs.
“That dark alley? No way I am going there.”
“You will or you will regret it! Now move!”
“No.” I stood my ground. “If you want to shoot me, do it here, right on this sidewalk with dozens of eyewitnesses and security cameras.” I glared at him, then stuck my tongue out for good measure.
“The alley, now!” he whined.
“Nope.”
Tears came.
“Come on, Dad. Play right!”
I leaned down to wipe his tears.
That is when he squirted me right in the face.
Nice one! Love the transition between the father/child roles.
Loved the story. Dialogue brought it alive and kept me hooked. I never expected the ending wonderful writing
I laughed out loud. The twist at the end was brilliant.
