Apparently, I’m encased in something and cannot break free. Drinking heavily really hasn’t been conducive to a healthy lifestyle.
Why in the world can’t I remember what happened last night? I’ve woken in strange places before, but nothing ever quite like this. I recall being at the bar, watching a game, and doing shots with a tattered floozy. After that, though? Blank.
There’s a gooey substance by me. It’s not mine, either. Gross. Silence surrounds me until eight grey, elongated fingers rip open the vessel I’ve been nestled in. Reality has struck. Sensory overload.
I’ve been abducted.
I’ll never drink again…
Really cool! I enjoyed the twist, especially since most people who claim to have been abducted by aliens are dismissed as being drunk/hallucinating. Nice work.
I like it! I didn’t expect that ending. 🙂
Good stuff, Noah. Great twist!
The ending was a nice surprise, and there wasn’t one wasted word. Makes me wish I could write flash fiction.
I enjoyed it. The end was completely unexpected. I want to read more.
An alien abduction (?) is a sure way to break the drinking habit! Trust me. Good job, Noah!
Great work, Noah! Makes me want to find out “the rest of the story!”
Great imagery! Excellent job of making you visualize the whole thing, and definitely leaves you wanting to know more. Awesome job!
Cool! Packs quite a nice little punch for such a short story, with some humor too!
Awesome twist! Aliens make me horny.
love it! Twists can be gimmicks or they can add to the story. This one definitely added to the story.
The twist is on point
Taken??? Someone call Liam Neeson, lol I love it.
Holy CrapKittens! I was not expecting that, but what a clever twist! But I need to know how it ends! What happens next? I NEED TO KNOW THE THINGS! 🙂
I like itVery well written and a good story. Nice work!
