Tristan burst from the bedroom, his feet pounding on the floorboards in perfect rhythm with his beating heart. That was not his wife. It had his wife’s face, her body, her voice, but the eyes. Those were not his wife’s eyes.
Tristan ran to his son’s room, stomach turning at the sight of the empty crib. He turned and sprinted to the stairs, all but flying down them in his rush.
Laughter came from the kitchen. Dread growing with every step, he turned the corner to see his son playing with something in his tiny hands.
He had his mother’s eyes.
Whoa! Kid named Damien Thorn? Scary tale.
Loved that twist ending. Great 101 word horror story.
What a great horror story!
Great story!
Ugh…this would make one of those great horror shorts on TV. Well accomplished!
